Attention Deficit Disorder Symptoms

With age, it is very commonly believe that the attention deficit disorder can be outgrown. However, to most people, it is a shock to learn that they have the attention deficit within their adult years. Most of the time, they come to realize that when they take their attention deficit child to a specialist in order to receive treatment. During the time that they are attempting to understand all of the symptoms their child is experiencing, that they realize that they are experiencing the exact same symptoms.

Before this point and time, they didn't even realize that they were even suffering from the attention deficit disorder because within their early years within society, there was much awareness of this syndrome. It was only here recently that all of the people began taking a lot more interest in the attention deficit disorder within their children, and they have tried to get them cured from it.

The adults that have attention deficit disorder over the years have developed several different behaviors for coping in order to deal with the main problem. One may ask how an adult learns that he is indeed suffering from the attention deficit disorder. There is a wide variety of symptoms and signs through which the attention deficit disorder can be given as the diagnosis.

1. Easily distracted- The adults that suffer from an attention deficit disorder have an attention span that is very short. Unless they are extremely interested in the current subject, they are going to be distracted very easily.

2. Restlessness- Individuals that suffer from ADD experience a feeling possessed by restlessness.

3. Not Organized- Adults that suffer from attention deficit disorder are organized poorly. They can't stick to schedules and they are normally late and they misplace things frequently.

4. Impulsive- all of these people normally speak without even thinking. They are quick to get angry and they always appear as if they are walking on a fuse.

5. Low Levels of Self-Esteem-
Adults that suffer from this condition have very negative images of themselves. This can be a result of a broken promise, other's adverse comments and unfinished tasks.

6. Seek Stimulation-
most of the people that suffer from this condition are normally on the lookout for activities that offer a high stimulus such as gambling, risky projects at work, or paragliding.

However, to put everything into a brighter prospective, it is very important that you realize that there are several great people that have excelled within their fields several times that were ADD. Einstein, Leonardo Da Vinco, and Churchill were all adults that suffered from ADD.

Several of the adults that suffered from ADD were very compassionate, even though they were often misjudged as being cold and aloof because of the fact that they are very talkative and sociable. Now that you know about the attention deficit disorder symptoms, you will be able to better pinpoint this condition.
